Café 1055 strives to be a community destination with a Sunday family breakfast table feel
every day. We welcome everyone to join us in a relaxing and stress-free environment
for good food, good friends and good times. Becky, Vernon and JD bring together vast
amounts of experience, lifestyles and culture to offer you Café 1055.

“1055” is born of a menu and environment from another successful Café, Annabellas,
located in Richmond, ME. While not a duplicate of Annabellas, 1055 will emulate that
flavor with a few other additions. 1055 will incorporate Vernon’s BBQ as well as some
tasty local brews and spirits.

Becky has over 35 years of experience in delivering the finest cuisines. She has
worked at many of southern Maine’s most recognized establishments and has a
following of regulars. Her passion for keeping diners smiling is worn upon her sleeve
daily and you couldn’t ask for a sweeter server. In 2021, she purchased Annabellas and
has been instrumental in keeping that a destination of locals and tourists alike.

Vernon has over 35 years of retail and food preparation experience. He brings Smokin
Trucker BBQ to our offerings, an award-winning Maine BBQ flavor. He started his
“entrepreneurship” journey with ice cream trucks in Westbrook and surrounding areas
and owned a kitchen.  Vernon’s appetite for flavor and
elegance, will ensure every plate coming from the kitchen look as great as it tastes.

JD has almost 40 years of business management with some food service experience.
He spent a chunk of his teenage years working in the delis of New York and cooked more eggs and
pancakes than he cares to talk about while “Mess Cranking” in the US Navy.

Together, over cigars, whiskey and wine, sitting around the fire pit, Beck, Vern and JD
agreed to bring these three vast backgrounds together with the same expectation to open a
neighborhood Café with great food and great vibes.
